In meiner Bachelorthesis befasste ich mich mit der Aufgabe, eine mobile Toilettenkabine, angemessen für die tägliche Nutzung zu gestalten. Grundlegende Aspekte dieser Arbeit waren eine wassergespülte Toilette sowie die Möglichkeit des Händewaschens.

Ein im Rotationsguss gefertigter U-förmiger Tank stellt die Basis meines Entwurfs dar. Er bildet Boden und Seitenwände der Kabine und bietet mit einem Volumen von ca. 830 Litern ausreichend Platz für Frisch- sowie Abwasser.

Das in die Außenwand eingelassene Waschbecken lässt die Reinigung in den Mittelpunkt meines Entwurfs rücken und ermöglicht das Waschen losgelöst vom Toilettengang. Des weiteren bietet diese Anordnung ausreichend Platz im Innenraum für das Ablegen der Garderobe. Die angewinkelte Sitzposition des Klosetts lässt das Urinal aus dem Sichtfeld des Nutzers verschwinden.

Dreh- und Angelpunkt des Entwurfs stellt die Vakuumtoilette dar. Sie reduziert das benötigte Spülwasser auf ein Minimum und ermöglicht es, das Abwasser entgegen der Schwerkraft in die Tanks zu liften. Vakuum- und Wasserpumpe als auch Batterie befinden sich verriegelt hinter der Waschbeckenfront.

So können anfallende Wartungsarbeiten von Außen vorgenommen werden

Transparente Solarzellen im Dach liefern Energie und ermöglichen Tageslicht im Innenraum. Bei Dunkelheit sorgt eine eingeklebte Elektrolumineszensfolie für homogene Ausleuchtung der Kabine.

Räumlich abgetrennt vom Hygienebereich befindet sich an der Rückseite der Kabine die Schnittstelle für den wöchentlichen Service.

Within my bachelor thesis, I dealt with the task of designing a mobile toilet that is appropriate for daily usage. Key aspects of my work were a flush toilet as well as a possibility of hand washing.

A rotation molded U-shaped tank is the basis of my design. It forms up the ground and sidewalls of the cabin and contains a volume of 830 liters, which also provides enough space for waste- and freshwater.

Due to its wash bowl embedded in the outer wall, Aseo mainly conveys an impression of cleaning. Furthermore, this structure allows using the cleaning area independently from using the toilet. The resulting interior offers enough space to leave coats. The angled position of the toilet lets the urinal disappear from the user's field of view.

The crucial point of my design is the vacuum toilet. It reduces the required amount of water to a minimum and makes it possible to lift it into the tanks, even against gravitation . Both vacuum and water pump, as well as the batteries, are locked behind the wash bowl front. Thus, accruing maintenance work can be done from the outside.

Transparent solar cells on the top supply electricity and provide daylight in the interior. At night, an electro-luminescent foil provides homogenous illumination.

Separated from the hygiene area, the connections for weekly maintenance are located on the backside of the cabin.
