Energieverbrauch ist ein stets aktuelles Thema unserer Gesellschaft. Da erscheint es doch paradox dass kaum jemand um den Strombedarf seiner Geräte weiß, und der Gesamtverbrauch in Form einer einzigen Summe auf der Jahresabrechnung präsent wird.

Mit View ist eine Steckdosen- und Lichtschalterreihe entstanden die mittels einer LED Projektion direkte Rückmeldung über verbrauchte Energie liefert.

Bei Tätigung des Lichtschalters erscheint seitlich an der Wand die Anzahl der verbrauchten Kilowattstunden. Der Wert beginnt bei 0.00 und steigt fortlaufend bis der Stromkreis unterbrochen wird. Daraufhin bleibt die Projektion noch weitere Fünf Sekunden bestehen und blendet anschließend langsam aus.

Waagerechte sowie horizintale Ausrichtung der Anzeige werden durch 2 getrennte LED‘s ermöglicht. Je nach position der Steckdose im Rahmen, schließen entsprechenden Kontakte.

Energy consumption is a ever-present topic in our society. Doesn't it seems paradox that hardly anybody knows about the power requirements of his devices, and the total consumption is only shown by one single number on the annual invoice?

"View" is a plug and light switch system that gives a direct feedback about the energy used, visualized by a LED projection.

When turning on the light, the amount of used kilowatt hours appears right beside the switch on the wall. The numeric value starts with 0.00 and counts up till the circuit gets interrupted. After that, the projection remains for a further 5 seconds and then fades out slowly.

Horizontal as well as vertical alignment are possible due to two separate LEDs in one frame. Depending on the positioning of the socket in the frame, the corresponding contact closes.
